Handelshøjskolen consolidates its position as an institution of higher education
To distinguish itself from other schools of commerce and boost its position, Handelshøjskolen changes its name to ’The Institution of Higher Education in Science of Commerce’
To fulfil the Danish Society for the Advancement of Business Education’s wish to emphasise the school’s status as an institution of higher education and to distinguish it from a number of ‘ordinary’ schools of commerce, Handelshøjskolen changes its name to ‘The Institution of Higher Education in Science of Commerce’ (Den Handelsvidenskabelige Læreanstalt).
The academic designations BSc (HA), MSc (cand.merc.) and HD (diploma programmes) are conferred on graduates from the full-time day programme in Science of Commerce, the master programme in Science of Commerce and the diploma programmes.
