1989

The first multi-national research collaboration is established with several international universities

In 1989, SCANCOR is inaugurated.

While the contact to universities and researchers abroad are of a more personal and informal nature in the 1960s and 1970s, some of these contacts gradually develop into formal structures. In 1989, the common Nordic partnership Scandinavian Consortium for Organisational Research (SCANCOR) is established. SCANCOR is a partnership between Handelshøjskolen and Stanford University in California, and with business schools and universities in Norway, Sweden and Finland. The aim of the project is to create a basis for greater internationalisation of research in organisation and management.
